Ingredients
2 blocks of tofu
6 tbsp of soy sauce
1/2 cup of water
1 tbsp of minced garlic
1/2 onions, chopped (optional)
4 green onions, chopped
2 tbsp of sesame oil
2 tsp of sugar
1 tbsp of sesame seeds
Directions
1. Cut the tofu into ~1/2 inch thickness pieces. Pat dry with a paper towel.
2. Prepare the sauce by mixing all sauce ingredients.
3. Heat a medium pan over medium heat and add 2 tbsp of oil. Fry on each side until the tofu turns firm and golden brown (4-5 minutes on each side.)
4. Pour the sauce over the tofu pieces and add your water. Simmer for 3-4 minutes over medium low heat. Flip the tofu pieces and simmer for another 3 minutes. Spoon the sauce over the tofu pieces until the sauce is mostly simmered.
5. Serve with rice and enjoy! This Banchan can also be enjoyed cold!
